We in Ela Township have a lot to be proud of when it comes to stellar Democratic representatives in local, state, and federal positions. In 2022, folks locally, throughout Illinois, and even across the nation flocked to the polls electing intelligent, moral, caring individuals to help turn our country around. Democrats in Lake County re-elected ALL of our representatives, senators, and county-wide officers. We also elected the first Muslim woman to the Illinois House, The first LGBTQ+, raised our majority on the County Board to 14 and elected a pro-choice Appellate Court judge and Supreme Court Justice.
